Antwan (Twanie) Pettis is a Lake Charles-native and owner of Twanie’s Terrific Treats. He began his baking journey in October of 2021, out of the desire for a delicious chocolate chip cookie. From there, he began to personal deliver his cookies, as well as attend local farmer’s markets.
He felt the Lord impress upon him to take a leap of faith and give it his all in baking. So, Twanie decided to drop out of college and fully pursue his new found, God given gift of baking. People begin to take notice of Twanie’s Treats, and one thing lead to another… And in as little as nine and half months, Twanie went from no baking experience, to owning and operating a storefront bakery.
Twanie attributes all of his growth and success to God. And he firmly believes that God has blessed him with his business to help spread the gospel through the love of sweet treats.
