Marcus Lawson

Marcus Lawson, originally from New Orleans, is an award-winning cheerleading coach and choreographer with a passion for empowering champions. For 16 years, he led Spirit Professional’s All-Star program, recognized as one of Louisiana’s top programs. He later served as Marketing and Development Manager at the Bayou Country Children’s Museum, where he raised over $500,000 in sponsorships and drove visitation through strategic marketing efforts.

Today, Marcus is the Business Development Director at Propel Consulting LLC, where he helps empower organizations and enrich communities through fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning. A graduate of the University of New Orleans with a degree in Psychology, he now lives in Lake Charles, LA with his husband, Timothy. In his free time, Marcus enjoys traveling and choreographing for cheerleading gyms across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
