Chef Chad Jackson currently serves as a Culinary Arts Instructor at SOWELA Technical Community College in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Chef Jackson graduated from the California Culinary Academy with an Associate of Science degree. He is a member of the American Culinary Federation and the Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
Chef Jackson started his career in the culinary industry at a young age and worked his way up through the ranks working at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio while at the California Culinary Academy. He served as the Executive Chef and Created Jax2 Catering and Bistro in Benicia, California. Chef Jackson’s journey then took him to Los Angeles to serve as the Executive Chef at The Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills. Chef Jackson also created Jackson’s Restaurant Consulting Team, a solution-focused model that serviced partners in CA, AZ, TX, LA. Chef Jackson has also served as Room Chef at Jack Daniels in L’auberge until the creation of Jackson Deli. He has worked as a private chef and nutrition consultant for various actors, musicians, and athletes.
Having restaurant experience, Chef Jackson wanted to experience the full circle of the food service industry, so he took a sales consultant position at Sysco where he thrived in the industry.
Chef Jackson is a well-organized and highly motivated instructor. He incorporates personal experiences and the use of technology in the classroom. Chef Jackson serves as a mentor to both the faculty and students.
Throughout his journey, Chef Jackson hopes to accomplish his goal of developing students who enjoy and have enthusiasm for the culinary field. With an ever-growing industry, Chef Jackson gives his students the knowledge and skills to be productive in society and successful in the real world with the curriculum he is teaching.
