Executive Chef Lyle Broussard leads the culinary vision for Crying Eagle Lakefront, bringing with him a lifetime rooted in the flavors, traditions, and culture of Southwest Louisiana. A Lake Charles native, Chef Lyle grew up immersed in Cajun and Creole cooking, learning at an early age beside his grandmother and developing a deep respect for the ingredients and stories that define Louisiana cuisine.
He spent nearly two decades at L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles, where he rose through the ranks and built a reputation for bold, soulful cooking grounded in Gulf Coast tradition. Over the course of his career, Chef Lyle has earned recognition from the Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off, been honored among ACFNO’s Best Chefs of Louisiana, and received Visit Lake Charles’ Outstanding Culinary Professional Award. His work has also earned top accolades in BBQ and gumbo competitions across the state.
At Crying Eagle Lakefront, Chef Broussard blends heritage with innovation. His menus celebrate the bounty of the Gulf through thoughtfully prepared seafood, smoked specialties, and modern interpretations of regional classics. Every dish reflects both precision and heart, staying true to the flavors of Louisiana while pushing them forward in fresh and unexpected ways.
