Oscar Valle
Mixologist / Brand Ambassador,
Mijenta Tequila
At 17 years-old, Oscar began his career in the service industry in New York as a bar back for “Liquid Chef” Junior Merino, the famous mixologist known for creating the concept of the “kitchen-bar” fusion. There, Merino taught him the self-discipline and work ethic necessary to navigate him through some of the city’s biggest events.
Heavily inspired by the work of Chef Patricia Quintana, Oscar decided to return to Mexico City to devote himself to the culinary industry. Gaining experience in several areas of the culinary workforce, Oscar joined the teams of various restaurants and bars such as Death and co. and Experimental Cocktail Club. He’s certified in Marketing and Hospitality from New York University.
Currently he choreographs the moves behind MIJENTA tequila in México and serves liquid love behind LICORERÍA LIMANTOUR Roma as one of the bartenders who has been through the years in the success of the bar. In 2019 he co-founded his company Artistas de la barra®, the first liquid storytelling company with Marijo de Tal and Maria Paula Molano. Throughout the pandemic he and his business partners are redefining the bartender’s role in the world, transforming concepts into sensations and confirming bartending as an activity worth being considered fine art.
